Order the software

To order any of our products, please send the order to Thermo-Calc Software by e-mail, mail or fax. You can also order software direct from Thermo-Calc Software by sending your Purchase Order, stating the software and databases by fax, mail or by e-mail.

Customer categories

The license for using the software is available for different customer categories, such as

• Commercial companies

• University
• Non-commercial research institutes

To be considered for the university license category with the university discount it is required that the department where the software is installed, teaches and also have the authority to examine undergraduate students.

Non-commercial research institutes having personnel giving lectures or simultaneously being affiliated with a university (even on a regular basis) will not lead to a university status for the research institute itself. Thermo-Calc Software preserves the right to decide about the status of a specific customer on an individual basis.

Definition of Site

The designated physical location for a company, department or faculty within an university or a non-commercial research center at a designated physical location.

Licensing options

All licenses are governed by the Thermo-Calc Software End User License Agreement (EULA).

Single User Node Locked License (SUNLL)

The license file is unique for one designated computer at one designated site and cannot be copied or moved outside the site. The software may be used on only one site and by only one person at a time on only one computer. If the software is installed on a portable computer, the software may be used temporarily outside of the site.

Network License (NWL)

The software may be used on the number of sites you have paid for and by the number of persons you have paid for on any number of computers connected with each other through a server or similar network.

Database Licenses

The database licenses follow the licenses for the software i.e. DSUNLL and DNWL where D stands for Database. 

Software License Packages

Academic Network Site Package (ANSP) for University teaching.
The ANSP is a license package for Universities only.
The software may be used on one site by up to 99 students simultaneously on any number of computers connected with each other through a server or similar network. The ANSP also includes two SUNLL.

Customer specific packages

You can of course select and choose various combinations of the Thermo-Calc and DICTRA software and corresponding databases. The Thermo-Calc Software sales representives are ready to assist you in your selection of appropriate software and license.

Annual License

All software and database licenses are supplied as Perpetual licenses by default. There is also an option to procure an annual license which is limited to use for one year (12 months). The annual license can be issued for a single node locked or network installation.The annual license is limited to 12 month's from its purchase date.

Each license is valid for ONE Operative System.
It is possible to add operative systems to the same computer, or you can add a license for running another operative system on a independant computer.
